Residential Architecture Photography in Honolulu – Hale Le’ahi

Hale Le'ahi by Peter Vincent Architects

A contemporary residence overlooking Diamond Head in Honolulu

Hale Lē’ahi is a contemporary residence designed by Peter Vincent Architects on a sloping site in Honolulu’s Kahala neighborhood overlooking Diamond Head. The home was carefully oriented to frame views of the iconic landmark while maintaining a strong connection to the surrounding landscape and a historic banyan tree that anchors the property.

The design draws inspiration from mid-century modern Hawaiian architecture, combining clean lines, natural materials, and expansive openings that support seamless indoor–outdoor living. Interior spaces by Henderson Design Group complement the architecture with a calm and refined palette that emphasizes comfort, natural light, and a strong connection to the garden and outdoor living areas.

The project was built by Mokulua High Performance Builder with a strong emphasis on sustainability and environmental performance. The residence achieved LEED Platinum certification and incorporates a number of high-performance building strategies that support energy efficiency, indoor air quality, and long-term durability.

The photography focused on capturing the relationship between the architecture, landscape, and surrounding environment while highlighting the home’s material palette, spatial flow, and connection to the garden and views of Diamond Head.
