I’ve been an avid follower of Adam Taylor’s work and educational programs for quite some time now. His expertise in architecture and design photography, coupled with his transparent and insightful instruction, has truly made him one of my favorite artists and mentors in the field. Needless to say, I was overjoyed when I discovered that he had released a new architectural photography book. Without hesitation, I ordered both the Kindle and print versions.

Having delved into the Kindle edition, I found it to be not only inspirational and educational but also incredibly therapeutic. What captivates me most about this book is Adam’s masterful use of wide-angle shots and close-ups, which unveil the intricate textures, colors, contrast, and overall balance of the architectural marvels he captures. A hallmark of Adam’s style, in my opinion, lies in his ability to seamlessly integrate each building into its surrounding environment, achieving a harmonious blend that resonates deeply with viewers.

Every image in the book is a testament to Adam’s meticulous craftsmanship—from composition to editing to presentation—each one exuding a sense of artistic therapy that speaks to my soul. Throughout the pages, the radiant light of the Hawaiian sky, with the sun casting its luminous glow upon the architectural surfaces, creates a mood that is distinctly characteristic of Adam’s portfolio. The warmth of the sunlight, the kaleidoscope of tropical hues mixed with the subdued hues of vegetation, and the glorious landscapes—be it skylines, hills, or waterfronts—all come together to paint an architectural beauty intertwined with everyday life unique to Hawaiian islands.
